I’ll admit that last night was…awesome! This was the first year without the kids and we sat there wondering what to do, go take in a fireworks show, just stay at home, visit friends…hmmm. Our original plan was to have a nice quiet dinner out on the town then catch some of the fireworks being set off near one of our local “fireworks alley”. We had a nice lunch, caught a movie then went over to our friends place to pick up some red sparklers for a photoshoot I had in mind (it needed to be darker outside so the images didn’t turn out THAT well…well, I don’t think they did).
By the time we got around to dinner, everyplace had either closed or were about to…grrrrrrr…we decided to drive…yea, just drive! We ended up about 40 minutes south of us at a rather well known place to purchase fireworks (Boomcity…man, so so SO many tents selling fireworks and perhaps even more people setting them off) so we stayed for the show! I’ll post more images from this location, it really seemed like it was a scene from a war zone!! While we really did miss the kids…it was an awesome night. 🙂
What I like about this image? Love the “Northern Lights” looking display (okay, it’s really smoke being illuminated by that green explosion)! 🙂 What do you like?
…Enjoy!

We had one of your kids, so we win!
LOL David, looks like you had a good time in the end, and that’s what really counts!
Beautiful! I’m liking the pink!
