Reminds me of our trip back from Calgary through the heart of cattle country (the foothills SW of Calgary). I think they had just carted off a lot of cattle in the large cattle trucks. The highway was littered with large splotches of cow pies. They were still wet and it splashed up onto the bottom of the car. Car wash anyone?
