85mm 1.8: Ohhh So Tired…

David Williams Photography Tired

Ahahahaa, okay, so not really “tired” but ya get my drift! 😛 I’ve walked through this park countless times and have never noticed this tire sitting there, collecting it’s growth. It’s rather interesting what you see in a place during each season, I am certain in the summer this tire is completely overgrown with shrubs and the likes.

I decided upon my next theme, starting with this image. Going to only post images with the focal length at 85mm and the aperture at f/1.8. I’ll leave a little wiggle room by allowing myself to change the shutter and iso. Hope you enjoy this theme, it’ll be interesting taking the images…

…Enjoy!

  1. Interesting theme. I absolutely love the tangled brush and the growth on the tire. I forgot you are using a full-frame now. That 85 looks so good on it. I have the 85, but find it a bit long on my cropped censor to do much more than portrait work

    • Awww, come on, all you need to do is step back! 😛 Okay, okay, I really do know what you mean as I borrowed this same lens when I was shooting on my crop sensor and there is certainly a huge difference! Thank you for the comment.

  2. Groan.
That’s a cool idea. Nice to have that fast of an 80mm lens! You going to stick with uncropped images too, or will you allow cropping in this theme too? If not, then you have loads of wiggle room, if you can get far enough away from the subject.

    • Sorry for the delay in answering, funny but I addressed your question in a more recent post without knowing (great minds think alike right?). I normally don’t crop in post, and don’t plan on doing it for this series but if I do (as I have done already once), I will not it.
