Being together means having patience while your love doddles along…
Today’s The Daily Shoot’s assignment is: “Tell the story of a subject today in a photograph by photographing one specific detail of it.”
While I was out and about today, I ran across the cutest couple I have seen in a long time. He (let’s call him…Marvin) was patiently waiting for her (we shall call her Amanda) while she wandered the grounds…taking pictures on her iPhone!! I was so enthralled watching Marvin and Amanda, super super cute watching as he would point out some flowers that she missed and then wait for her to compose the shot (I was impressed that she didn’t just take head on shots of everything, she would crouch down, raise the phone above so she could get an angled shot…very impressive)! As they were leaving, I could not resist taking a photo….enjoy!

I wonderful bit of togetherness 🙂
So sweet!
Excellent shot. Love the subtle tones in this too.
Thank you Mike.
Really like this shot, the split toning and composition are great. This photo makes me think of them ageing together, the detsaturation really adds to this feeling as well as them walking this stretch of path with not so much left to go. It’s sublime.
Thank you very much! I am glad you like it.
Excellent! this is a lovely shot, tells a story, and I love the desaturation, gives it the mood that it needs.
I am glad you think the desaturated colour decision was the correct route. Like I had mentioned earlier, the “full” colour version was just too vivid, I felt it “took away” from where I wanted the image to be. 😀 As always, thanx for the comment Mike.
What a great shot and wonderful powers of observation to the photographer! Nicely done.
Thank you very much for the complement Sandra. I will have to admit that it wasn’t hard to notice this couple!
What a wonderfully composed photo along the path. It’s speaks alone.
Thank you very much Martina!
Love the muted colours and the wandering path – lovely.
Thank you JP, I think I was really lucky to have the wandering path included, it really adds that “something” to it. 😀
Agreed, great shot David!
Thank you Jim! Kind of odd seeing a photo of mine where there’s a person (okay, people) in it who’s not Cait eh? 😛 I need to get out and get more street style photos, it was a lot of fun. 😀
Well, very nice observation. 🙂
And it really is cute. Cute couple.
They totally were! Thank you for the comment.
I wish I could see their faces 😀
Although the faces would be nice, I rather think it’s a little more “fitting” to not see them. 😀
beautiful shot
Thank you very much and thank you for stopping by.
awesome shot! I feel it will look good in B/W
Thank you! I will have to try a full B&W with this one, perhaps throw some grain in there to get an old photo feel to it? Thank you for stopping by and commenting, hope you have enjoyed!
I want to be them when Im their age! Great picture!
Morgan, I am so with you on this one! 😀 As always, thank you for the comment.
Agreed. Very nice composition. Love the muted colours too.
Thank you Mike. The original image was so rich in colour, it just didn’t seem to fit with the subject matter. Glad you like the muted colours, I know I do!
Lovely shot David and you nailed this composition. It seems to tell a wonderful story.
I have to say awesome job.
This will be my favorite from your blog posts.
Awww, thanx Sasi!! I was so captivated by Marvin and Amanda, still brings smiles to my face when I think about them. 😀
