Love is…putting up with your dad’s request to head out in the “somewhat cold” weather to hold a bundle of pencils just so he can get a photograph! I love you cait!!

Adorable! Such a wonderful idea and marvellous photograph. I like the selective focus and the cheeky look on your daughter’s face. Brilliant image!
Sorry I missed you comment, thank you very much for your compliments! 🙂
Clever composition. She’s a good sport. My 4yo has already turned in her Refusal to Model statement. All I can get our of her now are furled brows and icy stares as far away from the lens line of sight as possible.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting! I’ve had a change to briefly check out your site, enjoy what I have seen so far and wish I had more time to view (dang you work). I will definitely check it out later today.
Cait can be a sport…most of the times! Hang in there, I hope it’ll happen for you. 🙂
That’s great!
Thank you!
I can hear her thinking “Valentine’s Day, and you got me…. a pencil bouquet.” She’ll remind you of that one in a few years when she wants you to get her a car.
Hahaha, it’s the memories that will count on this one! BTW, dreading the driving years…
What a fabulous picture! Great idea too! She’s going to love all these pictures when she grows older. They will remind her of your time together. Perfect way to show love…
I hope she will! I added a new goal to my list this year, it’s to get my other two into the view finder more often! Don’t know what it is about them, but…I don’t want to press the issue so I am slowing working on it! 😀
Great shallow DoF in this image.
Thank you Kala and thank you for stopping by, hope you enjoyed what you have seen. 😀
Really very cute. 🙂
And nice lines. Sharing it on my FB page. 🙂
Thank you for the comment as well as stopping by not to mention sharing the photo! I believe her “look” really makes the photo, hehehe.
Yup, she is a very cute girl. 🙂
Awww, thank you!
That is the best kids photo I’ve seen ever! It should be used in a marketing campaign. Adorable!
Thank you so much Martina, that means a lot to me!! 😀
I love this!!!
Thank you for your comment as well as stopping by. We had fun the day prior to this shot but, I didn’t like any of the images (had little time to take them). She wasn’t that thrilled to head back out again to take the same shots.
I stopped by your blog, really liked what I saw! I will take more time tonight.
Beautiful, ingenious and all about Love 🙂
Excellent shot!
Thank you Mike, I get good ideas sometimes! 😛 I just wish I could say that I haven’t seen that look before (I am usually in trouble when I get that look from her)!
So cute – love it!
Thank you JP!
i like this on many levels, the pencil heart is genius, the photo is great and your text is a perfect summing up of the fact that it’s these things that really show how much we love one another.
Thank you so much Nigel, that means a lot!! Perhaps I should enter this in February’s comp?
Lovely child!
Thank you very much (and we still firmly believe we are in trouble when she get’s older)!!
Oh my goodness, cute! She kind of looks like she’s poised to shoot you with the pencils. 🙂
Thanx! For the record, she burst out laughing when she saw the photo (I think I am safe…) 😛 wheww….
Great David! Really creative idea, not to mention a perfect composition!
Thank you Jim, the longest (certainly the hardest for me) was gluing (super glue and David…not a great idea) those pencils together!
Ah cute…Love it David.
She’s a sport! Thank you for the comment Sasi.
