On The Edge

Today’s The Daily Shoot’s assignment is: “Find a composition today with a strong line or edge that cuts from one corner of the frame to the other.”

I don’t wear watches but today, before leaving the house I put on my watch as for some reason, I just like wearing it when I go on photo walks. ๐Ÿ˜€

I took a trip to Bayview Cemetery today in Bellingham but my photo walk was cut short. I was wearing my watch (the only time I wear it is for photo walks) and kept going off that time not realizing I hadn’t used it since day light savings kicked in! Grrrr. Oh well, I know now where Bayview is and have scouted it out, can’t wait to head back!

  1. Nice shot David! Interesting comosition and love the saturated green hues. Yes, I agree; you need to go back to Bayview when more time allows. I know you will find many interesting things to shoot. I Used to walk through there quite often with my dog — I’ve always liked the peace and tranquility of the place. And the headstones are very interesting to read. Then of course if you go up Lakeway Drive a couple of blocks, you will find the beautiful Whatcom Falls Park. Great play ground for the photographer. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. A beautifully, creepy shot. With all the lichen and moss and runners it’s crawling with ‘heeby-jeeby’ possibilities–perfect for an ‘edge’ shot, and for this daily shoot. Your photos have inspired me to sign up for the daily exercises, and I can’t wait to get tomorrow’s. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you so much Heather, I am glad that I have inspired you to join The Daily Shoot! I love how it’s made me think about each shot I have taken, how to capture the “vision” I have in my head, it’s been great! Hope you enjoy the assignments as much as I have! ๐Ÿ˜€
