Today’s The Daily Shoot’s assignment is: “Double up on your art today. Make a photograph of something else that you’ve created or crafted.”
I thought about this assignment on and off throughout the day and I kept coming back to taking a photo of one of my kidlets! We did a little “photo shoot” after work, then proceeded to get some coffee (not to worry, it was for me) and some hot chocolate prior to heading to the library (dang overdue book). All in all, it was a really great afternoon. 😀
I have uploaded more photos from today’s outing to my Flickr account, you should go check it out! 😛

A wonderful portrait. Dude, I hope that when my kids are the same age as yours I still have as great a relationship with them as you do with yours!
I have all the faith that you will have a strong bond with your kids Nigel, no worries! Thank you for the comment!
Beautiful shot. What a pretty girl she is. And the scarf and hat are lovely, too. Talented family! 🙂
Thank you so much! 😀
Lovely portrait David.
Thank you Sasi.
I thought you were going to tell us you knitted the hat and scarf. 😉
Beautiful girl! And look at that smile… PRICELESS. This is definitely one of those treasured shots.
I can’t take the credit for the hat/scarf but, I DO know how to knit and sew! 😛
Absolutely beautiful! Obviously one of your most treasured creations. 🙂
She’s a natural model it looks like, too. I love the warm tones, the dof and the afternoon lighting–they all make for such a captivating picture.
The hat and scarf also look like homemade works of art.
You are correct, they are home made (by her Grandma). Thank you for the wonderful compliments!
Nice shots! She definitely seems to enjoy having fun with the shoot, doesn’t she? My youngest does as well, which makes for some entertaining pictures!
Thank you, we usually have a blast on our photo shoots. They do make for entertaining photos don’t they, here’s to hoping that when they get older, they will appreciate them as much as we do!
Oh she is just brilliant. Did someone in your family knit the scarf and hat?
Thank you, we think she is too! Her grandma made them. 😀
Did she put together the outfit, or was that you? 🙂 What a beautiful little girl, David! Well done. And, as I keep telling you…she’s going to be trouble in a few years!
I did silly! I can match…when I want to. 😛
Yea, I know she’s going to be trouble, they both are actually! lol
