Around 7pm on May 23, 2013, part of the bridge on Interstate 5 between Burlington and Mount Vernon, Washington collapsed (amazingly with no fatalities). Saturday night they closed the bridge to install the new permanent bridge, here’s a shot taken around 2am. Lucky for me, the fog set in pretty early and stayed the entire night providing some great (kinda sorta eerie) photos.

…Enjoy!

Very nice!
Thanks Carissa!
Is the shot of the Bailey bridge being removed or is that the new section being slid in place? 2 AM, eh? Great shot!
Hi dad, this is a shot of the new portion, the Bailey bridge is on the other side (I’ll post a few more images including one (or two) of the Baily bridge). I was out there till about 4am…it was a LONG night that’s for sure! 😉
Amazing shot dear David… Thank you, love, nia
