Interstate 5 Bridge Placement

Around 7pm on May 23, 2013, part of the bridge on Interstate 5 between Burlington and Mount Vernon, Washington collapsed (amazingly with no fatalities). Saturday night they closed the bridge to install the new permanent bridge, here’s a shot taken around 2am. Lucky for me, the fog set in pretty early and stayed the entire night providing some great (kinda sorta eerie) photos.

…Enjoy!

    • Hi dad, this is a shot of the new portion, the Bailey bridge is on the other side (I’ll post a few more images including one (or two) of the Baily bridge). I was out there till about 4am…it was a LONG night that’s for sure! 😉
