Plating

David Williams Photography The Experience Music Project Plating

This is a shot of part of the exterior wall of The Experience Music Project (EMP) in Seattle. The entire exterior is made up of all these metal plates, different sizes and colours…rather interesting if you ask me! Hope you enjoy…

…Enjoy!

  1. Oh, I love this, the lines, the rivets, the gradient bronze. Not to take away from it, but I also think it would be a rocking texture on another photograph to give something a steampunkish feel. Anyway, awesomely seen and captured.

  2. WOW! You captured such an extraordinary image! So beautiful… and also you made a wonderful composition with these metal… fascinated me. Thank you dear David, I enjoyed so much… With my love, nia

  3. I enjoy the different colors of metal, and the detail that shows the rivets and scratches. Really interesting and abstract! I got a Canon 50mm 1.4 lens in December and am getting to know it. This photo really shows me what this lens can do! Thanks for sharing.

  4. Definitely enjoyed it, David. Very cool. I can see some scrapes on the metal plates. Weather-related bruising perhaps since you mentioned this is an exterior wall?
