Continuing with shots from Seattle, here’s yet another shot of the Space Needle. I figured since this landmark is SO photographed that I include a perhaps not seen often point of view. 🙂 This was taken just outside one of the entrances to Experience Music Project (EMP), the funky metal “sculpture” is actually part of EMP’s outer wall!
Question time! When you are out shooting and you try a particular “style” of photography (in this case is was going for lens flare), do you think of another photographer and what he/she might do? The reason I ask is because whenever I shoot to include some lens flare, I always think of my friend >>Morgan<< as she loves to shoot lens flare! Another example is every time I think of doing a panorama, my friend Mike over at >>Tau Zero<< always pops into my head. Man he has some killer panoramics (just cruise through his blog, you can’t miss them and I would highly recommend clicking on the image to view larger). Now, I did say think…I have YET to take a pano! 😛

…Enjoy!

I like the structure to the left as much as the needle. Nice.
Cool! 🙂 Great shot, David.
Thank you!
splendid in this vertical depth
Thank you Fabrizio!
I haven’t seen many underbelly shots of the needle so thanks for sharing. I can’t help but think it might be a UFO in waiting though. Hidden in plain sight, right? 🙂
MIB…I can totally see it! 😀 Thank you for the comment Brandon.
Cada uno tiene que tomar la fotografía como la ve, creo que cada ojo es un mundo, por lo tanto no creo que halla una manera mejor o peor, si no maneras distintas.
Esta toma es muy original, saludos
Thank you for your comment. It’s funny that when you are at the Space Needle, this is the view most people see (looking up) yet, most of the images seen of the Needle are straight on (not looking up). I am just happy to share an alternative point of view. 😀
What you´ve got here is David Williams style, i´ve seen a lot of these Seatle shots, David, but this is great, looks like a big hungry monster about to take a bite!
Hahaha, oh Adrian, your comment totally made me laugh! Thank you. 😀
I do love some lens flare!!! Thanks for thinking of and mentioning me! BTW, you nailed it!
You are most welcome Morgan, thank you for the comment!
This is awesome! The point of view is great, and I love the lighting!
Thank you for your wonderful comment and for visiting, hope to see you around again!
