85mm f/1.8: Sedentary
Poor post, abandoned, left to waste, even has a few nails in it’s back! I was along the banks of the Skagit River this week and found a set of old pilings, I tried looking up what the actual function (other than being used for a dock) was but had no luck. Makes for a great image!

Great title and awesome composition. Those nails add a lot to the shot.
The nails really make the shot for me. Personally, there would be a void in the image if they weren’t there! Thank you for the comment.
Nicely framed shot. And I would have sworn that the water was a longer exposure, the way it glows.
I can totally see what you mean. To me, the water being out of focus helps with the long exposure look! thank you for the comment.
Nicely done David!
Thank you very much Eden. 😀
Certainly does, especially in Black and White
Mike, thank you very much for your comment as well as for visiting. Hope to see you around again.
Maybe it’s the angle – it makes me think of one of those giant Easter Island heads…
Ahahahaa, and the nail is the nose…buahahahaa. Thank you for the comment Mike. 😀
I very much like the way it goes from dark to light up the post and in the background. Very effective
Thank you Hellen, I like it too. Thank you for the comment.
