Goodness gracious I miss Seattle!! Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you for the wonderful comment, it’s greatly appreciated!
Speechless.. You have captured such a beautiful scene.
Thank you, it’s great having the opportunity to capture a scene like this!
Gorgeous soft lighting — a lovely image!
Thank you Mufidah, glad you like it!
Nice David. Even with the city in the background, this scene looks very peaceful.
Thank you, I really do love Seattle! 😀
Quintessential Seattle shot. The memories it brings back for me is going to the Seattle World’s Fair which is what the Space Needle was erected for (the Fair, not my attendance), 1964 I think. I was a kid. What I remember is that my younger sister (about 5 or 6) got lost. Also, I spent many summers as a kid in the San Juan’s, so the green and white ferry is very nostalgic too.
I just watched a show on the design of the Space Needle, was rather interesting! Really glad this brought back memories for you (hope your sister wasn’t lost for that long). 😀
My sister was found OK. She got lost along some cliff edges in the south of France as well. Odd that one as she now is a permanent resident not far from there. And, she got lost in other places too. My parents tell these stories quite often. I guess with 5 kids (in 7 years) it was sometimes pretty hard to keep track of all of us.
Great shot, David! Spectacular and “grand”. 🙂
Hi Nandini, glad you like it!! 😀
what beautiful cityscape light and sharpness are perfect aand so pleasant to see this
Thank you so very much Fabrizio, greatly appreciated!
Oh, this brings back a flood of memories, David. Great image of the Space Needle! Beautiful.
Glad to hear my capture brings back memories, as always, thank you for the comment Katie!
What a beautiful photograph of a wonderful scene. The Chamber of Commerce would love it! 🙂 Seriously, it calls out for framing so other people can enjoy it often.
Wow, thank you for such a wonderful comment, glad you enjoyed the photograph!
What a beautiful scene! I like how the sun is illuminating the area, while providing a pinkish glow in the horizon. Taken at sunset?
It was taken at sunset, thank you for the comment Gracie. 😀
So many wonderful elements in this landscape and in layers, David—the needle, the ferry, the silhouette of the mountain, the tree line—all framed together nicely.
Thank you very much Brandon, greatly appreciated!
Another stunningly atmospheric WW image! Thanks for dropping by Erika’s Wordless Wednesday
Thank you Erika, perhaps next Wednesday I might change it up a tad and post a non-landscape image for Wordless Wednesday! It’s funny but I thought about doing that for next weeks image anyway (as I was getting ready to post this image). 😀
Nice! And nicer weather than we had on our visit 🙂
Thank you and truth be told, this was actually taken back in September! 😛 We actually had a light dusting of snow this morning…
Cheater! 😉 Before my next visit I’m going to hit you up for the good photo spots!
hehehe, what can I say! 😛 Sounds like a plan, next time you are in Seattle let me know.
Beautiful photograph…. What I loved in this photograph, the calmness… the peaceful touches… the mountains, the forest at the back but city doesn’t damage none of them, fascinated me. Thank you dear David, with my love, nia
Thank you Nia for your wonderful comment. Seattle is certainly a beautiful city to not only visit, but to live in. There are just so many things to see and do within such a short driving distance, it’s really amazing. 😀 I am glad that you enjoyed this photograph, thank you!
Nice image David. The tower in the top right is very nicely placed and stands out beautifully against the sky. The ferry in the foreground really adds context and depth to the composition. Well done!
Thank you Mike. My sister (visiting from Calgary I might add) was in town this day and we spend a wonderful afternoon cruising around Seattle. We waited up there for about 30 minutes until a ferry decided to head out of the Seattle port. 😀
Wonderful!
I really like all those different shades of blue, and how the pink high in the sky echos the color in the buildings!
Really great!
Happy Wordless Wednesday!
Lea
Lea’s Menagerie
Lea, thank you so very much for visiting and for commenting! One of the things that caught my when posting was the lovely golden tones in the water which is being reflected off the buildings as well as the ferry! 😀
WOW! Almost feels as if I am there :))

¡Precioso paisaje!
Ese 70-200 es mi próxima compra jejejejeje, cuando me recupere del 24-70, saludos
Beautiful scenery!
That 70-200 is my next purchase jejejejeje, when I get the 24-70, greetings
Thank you so very much! The 70-200 is really an amazing piece of glass, I have NO regrets in that purchase. 😀
Wow! This is an incredible shot David! Framer for sure!
Thank you Bonnie, it never occurred to me to get it framed! I know, sometimes (okay, more often than not) I don’t even consider getting some of my images printed simply because I see them whenever I want! Lame I know…but meh. 😉
Lovely shot! The delicate colors of sunset are just great. So much happening here to draw the eye!
Meg, thank you so very much for visiting as well as for commenting. It’s greatly appreciated and I am glad that you enjoyed my capture. 😀
Very nice. It’s breathtaking.
Thank you very much Cocomino.
