Greetings all, hope you had a great weekend (you best have after my last post)! I was checking out Google Earth the other day and realized there’s a whole other section at Northern State Hospital that I haven’t been to yet! This is one of two buildings to be seen (so far) in the “new section”, looking forward to exploring more! Okay, I decided to play around in post processing on this sucker! It’s an HDR (3 exposures) image, texture layer, B&W conversion with a lowered opacity to let some of the colour bleed through. Also did a few other minor tweeks here and there.
My friends over at >>Static Instants<< have a little friendly monthly competition going on, January’s is: “Jan- Architecture. Pretty much anything that’s erect. Lol, I said “PRETTY MUCH”!”
You can enter up to three images, I decided to enter this as one. Please stop by, enter an image and don’t forget to vote for your fav image! January’s entries can be found >>here<<.
…Enjoy

Great image man, love the mild HDR treatment. I’m really becoming a fan of HDR, in moderation of course 🙂
Beast mode. This shot may get you some sweet prizes my friend……
I like this a lot. You did a great job with the post-processing. Another section of Northern State Hospital for you to explore? Looking forward to seeing more photos!
Lovely muted colors here David. Great details and textures too. Nice processing.
Thank you Eden, I had fun with the processing. Sometimes, I find myself throwing on my headphones and just dive into playing around in photoshop….this was one of those days! 😀
Love the outcome on the decision to mute the tones. Google Maps is great, isn’t it?!
Hey Brandon, Google Maps just rocks!! I plan on using it more to find some new places to shoot! Thanks for the comment.
