While working on this image a song was playing by VNV Nation called Nova (yes, I have used lyrics from this song in an image before) and when I was in the process of saving, these lyrics were being sung:
‘Cause I’ve been waiting, all my life just waiting
For you to shine, shine your light on me”
Rather fitting title eh?
The 11th hour, of the 11th day in the 11th month, 1918, marked the end of World War I. Thank you to all who have served or who are currently serving, may you have a great Armistice, Remembrance or Veterans Day!

I love lavender! I have some photos I’ll share at some point too. 🙂 And great post and mentioning the day.
Can’t wait to see your images Katie! 😀
Great and beautiful shot like sherbert.
Lovely photograph with the flower perfectly spotlighted by the narrow depth of field, so yes, fitting lyrics indeed!
Thank you Mufidah, I just happened upon this while I was providing a few photographic pointers with a friend. It’s amazing what’s out there if we take the time to look. 😀
