Devon and I went out to Northern State Hospital on Saturday to take some shots of part of his Halloween costume (of course I’ll post some) and this is from me testing out the lighting. Lately Dev’s been helping me behind the camera (holding the softbox on a monopod and such) so I think he had a good time being the subject. Oh well, enjoy all…
Lighting Info:
Canon 580 EX II (set as master) @ 1/2 power, manual mode shot through a Westcott Apollo Softbox camera Right, triggered by Cactus v5 transceiver. Canon 430 EX II (set as slave) @ 1/16 power (manual mode) behind Devon.

That is a great portrait, the rim light and soft lighting on the face is really beautiful.
Thank you, personally, I felt the rim light was/is a little on the strong side (mental note taken, power it down). 😀
Can’t wait to see the ones with the Israeli gas mask!!
Thank you Jolene, hope you liked the shot with the gas mask!
Light looks good, the sun is always a good source for rim light.
I agree, the sun is a great source! Thank you for the comment.
Looks good to me!
