Hi all, really glad it’s Sunday, here’s to the end of a crazy week and to the start of a better one!
I decided to take the weekend off from shooting/blogging but, I just couldn’t resist a quick photo walk at Northern State Hospital to check out how it looks in the snow. It’s amazing how much snow can change a place, I so need to head back very soon (as in, before the snow melts) to check out some of the other buildings. Enjoy…

I LOVE this shot – beautifully captured and presented.
Thank you for your comment as well as visiting, hope to see you around more!
Great photo and I love the color. The composition is great too.
Thank you Morgan, this was one of the last photos of my walk, love how that happens!!
Great colors and really nice “layers” from foreground to background. Nicely done.
Thank you Sandra, I really like that place!
Very nice shot David. It’s a bit moody and love the weathered look on the wood. I do like the array of geometric shapes and I see a symmetry on the chimneys atop the roof.
NSH certainly can be moody! Thank you for the comments Sasi, always appreciated.
really wonderful composition i like frame and light control
Thank you Fabrizio, it can be a challenge to get the inside of the building viewable while not blowing the outside out eh? Thank you for the comment.
It’s good to take a break now and then. You were reading my mind – I was wondering how much snow was up there.
When I was there, I was following another photog’s footprints (had to have been a photog for where the prints went) and oddly enough, thought about you and how I thought you would have taken the same path!
