Okay, so I have seen other blogs do a “Macro Monday”, I have always thought that was a cool idea soooo, here’s a “Macro Monday” kinda shot! Enjoy…and…buddy? Yea…my brain has officially shut off any creativity so that’s the best title you are going to get right now! 😛
…d
I love your macro shots. Makes me want to get a macro lens. This picture is so soft and calming. Im looking forward to Monday’s now.
Thank you so much Morgan. You can get macro filters which are much much cheaper than a lens (I did that till I decided to upgrade). My first macro lens was the Tamron SP 60mm f/2 Di II 1:1 AF Macro Auto Focus Lens which I really loved (okay, still do but man, the 100mm is toooo sweet). It’s on sale right now on [Adorama for $389] (after a $100 mail in coupon). I linked it in just in case you were/are interested.
well sir this is the firt time i had visited through the collection of your photos and i like it too much it so wonderful that by looking to it i am sure that anybody mood gets fresh.
Thank you for stopping by and for the comment, I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen. 🙂
OK. Buddy? that’s cute and funny! Titles are hard, and often inspired, don’t worry about them too much.
I think this is a well composed macro shot, nicely executed! As for Sasi’s concerns, I think if you popped the vibrance a bit, the colours in the “buds” will pop a bit and the background will work perfect, but that doesn’t take away that this is a great shot!
(I seldom pay attention to the backgrounds, and I also regret it sometimes later)
Sorry for the delay in response, it’s been a crazy crazy past few days for me. Thanx for the support (okay, not that I needed it as I definitely value Sasi’s comments). 🙂 I actually prefer the background as is, I think it would “take away” from the subject if I were to change it.
Wow, that’s a wonderful macro! I love the selective focus and those beautiful tender tones, it feels like spring. Great work!
Thank you Martina for your comment as well as stopping by!
Nice. What Macro lens did you use?
Welcome to my blog and thanx for stopping by! I used a Canon 100mm f/2.8 L IS Macro for this shot.
Wow, this is beautiful. (And I like the background just as it is!)
🙂
Thank you so much very much Val. 😀
Your creative capture speaks for itself. No title needed. Lovely image!
Thank you Martina, I think I will continue the week with more Macro’s. 😀
Don’t sweat the titles too much. Most of mine are very literal and usually just one or two words and people seem to like the pictures anyway. “Buddy” works.
Thanx Mike…Buddy seems rather, fitting. 😉
Great shot David! I do agree with Sasi though about the background, perhaps a colored foam board or something similar to add a bit of pep to it. And I know exactly what you mean regarding titling, sometimes that’s the hardest part of the shot! 😀
Hi Jim, titles can sometimes be the most difficult part of the post can’t it! About the background, see my reply to Sasi’s post…something I will need to remember. 😀
I like this macro shot of buddy with the details captured…
To me the background seems a bit flat and isn’t striking…that the thing with shooting flowers indoors. Gives you much control over light/wind, and you don’t have to bend or be an acrobat for taking shots but on the downside flowers are best shot on their original setting where you could capture the lush background and such.
Thank you Sasi, this shot was actually taken out doors! The problem was, it was a rather overcast day and the background was..well, rather far off and dark! I will remember to pay a little more attention to the background. 😀
