Today’s The Daily Shoot’s assignment is: “Use a window or a door as a frame for your subject today in a photograph.”
Today was crazy busy for me but, I did manage to take some “me” time to head back to NSH to get a door shot. When I read today’s assignment this morning, I knew I had to over head there! ๐
I had less than an hour there and the building where I wanted to shoot was just shy of a mile and a 1/2 round trip! Needless to say, walking a fast pace through water and mud isn’t the best of walking conditions! ๐ All in all, it was a good trip, got my shot as well as a nice walk, what more can you ask for eh? Enjoy…

Nice composition here. Looks like a good HDR candidate.
Thanx Wes, I so need to remember (as I seem to be saying a ton lately) to bracket my shots. ๐
Very clever use of framing and it gives a nice depth to this shot. Gives me the feel that I am looking at the stairway through the open door.
Thank you Sasi.
You know years ago I never would have thought to photograph something like this, but now I just love it when I see the unique photographs that come from such a subject as this one. So intriguing and mysterious. One can draw many stories from this. Nicely composed.
Thanx Martina, I’ve always enjoyed taking photographs like this. I know a lot of people find this place creepy but I find it (usually) calming. ๐
textures, lines, angles, a twisted doorway, electrical panels for Dr Frankenstein and the stairs that could lead to… Very nice, spooky, creepy, but nice ๐
Thank you for the comment Mike…Dr. Frankenstein…I like!!
I like it. It’s a bit twisted and decrepit, and I can identify with that.
Lol, you crack me up Mike! ๐
Exercise and photography! What more could you ask for :)! Great photo! All of the different textures and the details, like the old electrical panel keep me looking for more.
It’s funny, but those old electrical panels always catch my eye too! Thanks for the comment Morgan.
