Today’s The Daily Shoot’s assignment is: “Illustrate the word free today. Go with the first thing that pops into your head and make a photograph based on that idea.”
I woke up this morning around my usual time (5:30 – 6:00 a.m.) and checked out today’s Theme. Base the photograph off the first thing that pops into my head regarding the word free. Wow! Well, for some odd reason, the first thing that popped into my head was the song Free Falling by Tom Petty! Now, how to capture free falling? Jumping out of a perfectly good rented plane is out of the question! No place to bungee jump. Jump off the roof of our house? Nawww, not today.
Since I have neglected to rake the back yard, might as well put the leaves to good use eh! Did I mention it was raining (and still is)? I only got a few shots as I just didn’t feel like getting (and more importantly, getting my camera all) wet! 😛 Enjoy…

This is a lovely photo. I love watching leaves falling and twirling to the ground. It’s funny to think that all the mounds of leaves on the ground had to go through this short journey.

I love it! And also, as soon as I read your blog title, that same song popped into my head! It’s not easy to get free falling leaves – I tried a few times at Bayview but gave up.
