I thought Ialready commented this beautiful view….
But there must be some problem with my device….
Nice one David! How does the 2x converter effect image quality? I have been thinking about getting one. It makes your 2.8 a 5.6 right? or ?
Hey Rob, I have noticed a slight decrease in IQ but not much. The images I have printed @ 20×30 have been just fine. Yea, the converter makes the f/2.8 into an f/5.6 but that’s okay. I have noticed that it can be a tad unstable on the tripod when you combine the converter and a vert grip and using long exposure. Once I removed the vert grip it seemed to do better w/the long exposures. Not all the shots came out clear (mirror lock on, no vert grip, converter used on the 70-200mm) during the night this image was captured. All in all, it was a great choice to make my 70-200mm into a 140-400mm f/5.6 WITH IS! 🙂 As always, thanks for stopping by and visiting/commenting!
