Had a great night last night which ended with both our cable and internet leaving the establishment for hours and hours and hours so of course, I decided to play! A gas mask and a Gibson you ask!? Well, I’ve been wanting to capture Devon’s Gibson recently but just didn’t exactly know how. The gas mask came to mind as Cait and I have been discussing a photo project we plan on shooting (based off a Dr. Who episode) which…involves her, the gas mask and Northern State Hospital. Hopefully we will be able to head over there this weekend to accomplish said project. 😀
When post processing, I really didn’t like the lighting on the mask so I used the left rim lighting from a different image. Yes, this is a composite (two or more images blended together).
…Enjoy!

interesting, very interesting!
Hope it’s a good interesting! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
Is there a relationship between the gas mask and guitar? Maybe it is needed when jamming with an old fart of a guitar player.
Nope, just happened to both be handy!
Nice shot. I would have liked to see a bit of back lighting along the right side, though. Nice rim light on the left.
I actually did try a little on the right but to me, it just didn’t look right! Thanks for the great input, always appreciated! 😀
Love the ominous lighting you’ve used – suits the subject well.
Hey JP, great to see ya! Thanks for the comment, always always appreciated!
Yeah, been a bit absent lately – sorry ’bout that!
