The look of…blah! This was taken on Thanksgiving day, we were heading back home and caught the 5:30pm ferry. Now the odd thing about this image is…just how empty the ferry was! I don’t think we have ever been on a ferry ride where the second level car deck had only one vehicle on it, very odd indeed.
Okay, truth be told, Cait had a blast that day. I caught her in between smiles here (and I am sure, exhausted). 😀 For those paying real close attention, yes, there is a slight texture layer giving that somewhat canvas feel to the image.
…Enjoy!

I guess the lack of vehicles on the upper deck meant that the ferry wasn’t sailing level.
Reblogged this on Javmode.
Love the depth of field and the skew to the angle!
Thank you Carissa. 🙂
Great shot! I thought it was a parking garage.
I can totally see it being a parking garage! 🙂 Thank you for the comment.
She looks as if she might be contemplating her contentment. There is a lot of personality in this shot. Mind you, a 50mm lens, you were a bit in her face, so that could be part of it too.
By this time, I would hope all my kidlets are somewhat immune to a lens in the face! 😀 As always, thank you for the comment ehpem.
Sure looks empty. I think Angelia is right, everyone were probably still busy with Thanksgiving dinner.
I have to say, David. Cait is such a pretty girl, even with that blank expression on her face 🙂
We are in trouble aren’t we Gracie? Sigh. Thanx for the comment.
Looks a little cold. And boy, that sure is empty! I guess everyone is busy Thanksgiving Day. I know it is a very light travel day for planes too.
Angelia, it was a tad chilly that day (not for me mind you, I LOVE the cold weather and yes, I am a “wear shorts all year kinda guy)! We were very pleased the ferry was so empty, nothing worse than having to wait 2 to 3 hours in the car waiting to cross, bleh. 😉
