f/4.5 | 8 seconds | iso 100 | Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM
Took this macro shot awhile back of a Makinon Reflex f/8 500mm Mirror lens I have which is floating about the house. Added a B&W layer, lowered the opacity to get the muted colour then masked the wording “Macro 1:6” to bring the green back in. Added the “words” texture layer to finalize the image. Happy Thursday all! 🙂
…Enjoy!

Thank you Fabrizio.
Well done, David!
Thank you kindly Gracie, always appreciated. 😀
absolutely PERFECT. just love this.
Thank you so very much Kim and of course, thanx for visiting. Hope to see you around again. 😀
Beautiful photo, David! 🙂
Thank you very much Nandini. 😀
I love the words, but I do wonder what they are for. How do they fit into the image for you? And wow, you have some neat toys!
Great comment! To me, the words in the texture layer reminds me of the past just as this lens is of the past (the mounting ring on the lens doesn’t work on Canon digital cameras)…I won’t give either up! 🙂
Great image david.. although I have no idea what you’re talking about !
Lol, no worries Helen…I was just babbling about post processing this image. 😀
Oh I did know that.. I just don’t know how to do it!! I have an oldish version of photoshop and use it for very basic stuff like cloning over marks I don’t want.. but apart from that it’s a bit of a mystery and alas I guess I class myself as more of an artist than a technician.. pity !
I guess you could say I am both a techy geek and an artist…if the two can ever combine (left vs right brained?)! 🙂
The very best combination 🙂
