This image is just classic.
A striking and evocative image, David.
Simply art, David. The pose, the stark contrast, the hidden face, the grain…all work in harmony in this one. Perfect for a WW post.
What a powerful image! I love how the silhouette of the face almost seems to disappear into the background. A very contemplative image, as thought as the young man is lost in thought. The fabulous depth of field with the lights in the background only adds to the atmosphere. Many compliments!
this shot, David, has a breathtaking atmosphere, great sense of sadness and awesome this dark tonality, many compliments
Thank you so very much for your wonderful comment Fabrizio, I am really glad you like it! 😀
A story telling shot David. Love the grain in this shot – seems to go with the mood captured.
Thank you very much Sasi, glad you like it!
Interesting photo that speaks volumes about today’s world.

Thank you for the comment, I am glad it sparked thought/emotion for you! 😀
To me it looks like a person sitting on a bridge.
I can totally see that, thank you for your observation and for visiting. Hope to see you around again! 😀
Beautiful shot. I love the dark spaces and the grain. To me it feels contemplative, as though the subject is thinking before acting.
Thank you Melanie. As I was going through my library of images, I ran across this image of my son (Devon) which I took back in January and it totally captivated me. As I was sitting there looking at it, it struck me that it could be interpreted in SO many different ways, being alone in the world, sadness, worthlessness, depressed, relief, just plain tired, contemplative, praying and even the actual feeling he was having…being cold! We took this when the weather was cold and for some reason (okay, because he’s a teenager) he only wore a long sleeve shirt and he was a tad chilly while I was getting ready to take some images. He wasn’t aware I was ready so I just started to snap away while he was sitting there waiting. 😀
I have a 17 year old son, I get it!
Totally made me smile, thanx!
What I see in this photo is a guy whose lost in life. Looks to me like he doesn’t know what to do.
