All Smiles!

This was taken in a waiting area at a hospital in Seattle…not to worry, no one was injured! We drove an hour and a half to visit my niece and her new baby (wonderful bundle of joy called Kaden) just to spend another two hours waiting around (long boring story). Sad to say, we didn’t get to meet him that day but have so since this image was taken. 😀

Congrats on the baby. I love how she’s smiling next to an empty chair and that it is included in the shot.

That is such a genuine smile from your daughter and nicely captured, David. It’s a contagious photograph too as I smiled as soon as it popped up on my tablet. Sharp realism. Bravo.

Well, I really like this shot (and so do all these other adults that have commented), but did you daughter like it? For some reason I am guessing she might not have, maybe the angle that she would never see otherwise combined with her age (the ‘don’t take pictures of me’ age). Not that she should not like it, because she should, just wondering.
Since my kids are older and opinionated as well and that is my current experience it raises the question – do you clear an image with your kids before posting it? I have not posted pictures of mine, and in fact have taken very few decent photos of them or any other human being. But, a few months ago I posted my daughter’s hands knitting, and felt I had better ask first. Maybe your kids are better trained than mine, or so completely used to you taking pictures that they don’t notice.
