In one of my previous posts, I mentioned to >>Brandon<< in a comment that one of my freelensing shots had some lightbleeding going on, well, here it is! The shot reminds me of a toy camera shot, I rather like it! It’s interesting all the different “looks” freelensing can accomplish and I am certain I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface.
I also mentioned that it’s starting to become harder and harder to get Cait to pose, sigh, I knew the day would come but I just didn’t think it would be here already! This ‘session” lasted about 5 minutes before she wanted to go on her way. As you can tell by the look on her face, she wasn’t too pleased with my request. Very little post processing done, heal brush here/there, darkened it a tad and that’s about it other than the resize.
Hope you guys have liked the freelensing series and am certain I will continue this technique in the future. Any requests for the next series?
…Enjoy!

Have you done enough of this freelensing to decide if you’re exposing your sensor to more dust? Do you have to clean it more often?
Hahahaha, I moved the freelensing inside to cut down on dust exposure! I did clean it a tad after this series, sigh…the price we sometimes pay eh?
She sounds like my daughter. I think it all depends how her day was though 😉
Nice portrait btw.
Thank you Sasi (and yes, it does depend on the day for her as well).
She’s a cutie!!!
Yeaaaa, I think both my girls are…we are so so so gonna be in trouble!
Sweet! 🙂
Thank you Nandini
Oh yeah! Love the smokey light leak. …and you are definitely getting the eye. Yikes.
The Eye I think we have both seen WAY too many times perhaps?
Great photo, powerful. Well done.
Gerry
