From the Flickr group Macro Monday, today’s theme is: “This week task is to represent in a macro fashion anything “metallic”!”
I found a metal fence the other day and the point where the metal cable ended intrigued me. Wish I had my tripod with me, oh well…I still like it! 😀 Enjoy…

Love it!
Woot, it makes me happy when I read comments like yours. Thank you Caryn.
What a fabulous macro – the selective focus and the bokeh are stunning!
Thank you so much Martina! 🙂
Superb selective focus. I love this.
Thank you very much Kala, glad you like it!
Lovely colours and an excellent shot without a tripod.
Thank you Mufidah, I really do wish the clamp was a tad more in focus…however, I do like the final outcome very much!
Captured without a tripod, I think it was still well done.
Thank you Gracie, I really should start bringing my tripod along…but first, I should find a carrying strap for it eh? Any suggestions?
Wow, that’s super-detailed. Great shot!
Thank you very much!
twisty cables are really cool to photograph, just a suggestion David, the bokeh is nice but the ring holding it all in the background would be nice too! Pretty good for a 100mm macro handheld, pretty difficult to do it right, but this has come out nice!
Thank you for the comment Adrian, I too would have liked to have more of the clamp in focus. We were leaving the park where I found this and light was becoming a rare commodity…no tripod…meh, I like it! I still think there’s enough “focus” to know that it’s a clamp. 😀
