“I hear the train a comin’
It’s rolling round the bend
And I ain’t seen the sunshine since I don’t know when…”~Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash
Well, these lines are rather fitting for today. Now of course, for the image but more importantly for the fact that IT’S SUMMER and we have seen the sun for oh, about four hours this season! I mean come on, even someone like me who dislikes it when it get’s over 65 is starting to tire of the gray…oh well. Enjoy…
Excellent shot. Love the panning, the use of monochrome, and the subject matter. Well done!
Great shot David, nicely panned!
Thank you very much Jim.
Love it – great panning shot
Thanx Mike, you know me and panning on photowalks! 😛
ah! I love trains! This is glorious! Actually, it really is a great shot aside from my bias and obsession with trains. Lovely perspective.
How can one not love trains? Thanx for the comment Taylor.
Great perspective, love the panning. You get great photos on a cloudy day! 🙂
Thank you Martina!
You know you’ll regret saying that when the sun *does* come out, and refuse to go away… Very nice panning technique with this shot.
JP, I do regret saying that now as…the sun is out and won’t go away! Ahahahaaa. 😛 Thanx for the comment.
Nice pan shot. Monochrome PP has turned out really good.
Thank you Sasi, as soon as I opened the image I knew immediately it would be converted!
Nice panning! The train is nice and sharp.
Thank you Mike. The panning can be a challenge when you don’t have a tripod or IS! 🙂 It’s something I try to practice at least once when I go out on photowalks. 😀
