I was out in our backyard yesterday cleaning up a tad when I noticed all these lovely yellow flowers starting to sprout up (hahahaa..flowers…)! Anyway, I just happened to notice this little fella and wouldn’t you know it, the camera is in the house! Lucky for me, he decided to stick around for my mad dash into the house as well as my lens swap (had to have a macro for this shot)! 😛 Enjoy…bzzbzzzzz

I’m glad the little fellow waited patiently to have his portrait taken. And what a stunning macro is it, my compliments!

Beautiful macro!
I am seriously saving up for a macro lens! Great capture.
Yes, I do like the flowers with the critters on them, I find them more interesting. My husband doesn’t think so, but maybe I’ll have to show him this great shot you made. Nice of ‘him’ to wait for you to get your camera ready. 😉
Great shot. I like this photo, but I don’t like real bees. 🙂
Very nice shot. The bugs seem to like you.
Great shot David, he must have been a patient bug(ger) indeed. I have the same problem Schleefy does, I’m not fast enough to catch them!
The yellow is great….but the little fella is awesome. I had a couple of them two in my garden as well but was not fast enough to shoot them. Every time the focus was set up they were gone…..but I will not give up….I will shoot them….
good work
Lovely yellow flower… hey, with the cold, wet, weather we’ve been having, any kind of flower is welcome. Love the macro shot of the fly. This fly is very creepy looking up close. I took these last summer. http://emilygoochphotos.wordpress.com/2010/06/04/the-world-of-tiny-details/
Beautiful shot especially with the great detail of a pesky little fly 😉
Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting! Hope you enjoyed the images and will return.
Wow! That’s an amazingly sharp photo. You can even see his tiny tongue all curled up. I’m sure it’s probably not called a tongue, but that’s sure what it looks like to me. 🙂
Thank you for stopping by and commenting, hope to see you around. 😀
