Today’s The Daily Shoot’s assignment is: “Pretend you’re a stringer for your local newspaper today. Make a photo that captures something newsworthy to you.”
Interesting assignment. Lately, I have been bringing my camera to work each day and as I was sitting in my car this morning, waiting to defrost my windshield I thought how interesting the view (the garage in green and the part of the house in brown) looked through the windshield…like rain! So in my fictitious stringer newspaper job, I thought I would capture the weather…50 percent chance of rain, 50 percent chance of sun…a very long standing joke for us Pacific Northwestern folks! Oh well, enjoy…

Makes for a very interesting photo and funny interpretation too! 50/50
Thanx! I have been working on my narrative skills as of late. 😛
Isnt it great how the oddest things turn out to be great photos? Great picture!
Sure is great, I have always loved how the things we look at day in, day out can turn into such an unexpected image! Thanx for the comment Morgan. 😀
I think that the combination of the shot and the explanation makes this one a winner! Good job!
Thank you Mike! 😀
Interesting shot David. If you hadn’t said it was through a windshield I’d have thought it was rain beading up on a street or concrete floor, with the glare from the street lamp in the upper left. Very cool.
Interesting take on the photo Jim, thanx for the comment. If I didn’t know (or seeing it for the first time), it looks like a reflection on a mirror!
Love this shot, and the two ‘halves’.
Thanx JP!
I might not like to see rain, but I like this image a lot, especially the split colors — very interesting. At first glance, I thought it was PS effect until I read your story.
I’m glad we got the 50 percent chance of sun today. 🙂
I was pleasantly surprised that we didn’t get any rain!! 😉
Looks really cool David. I like your interpretation of TDS assignment.
Surely you sound like a weatherman 😉
Thanx Sasi. That’s about how the meteorologists sound around here! 😀
