Today’s The Daily’s Shoot’s assignment is: “Make a photograph with a soft look today.”
Today, Cait and I had the day off! After a very lazy morning, we decided to head out to check out how high the Skagit River had raised (we have had flood warnings issued). When I got home, I checked out The Daily Shoot and thought this photo fits in with today’s assignment, thoughts? I have posted some of the pictures to my Flickr account and plan on heading out once the river get’s back to it’s normal level and take some “after” shots so you can compare! Enjoy…

If it doesn’t stop raining soon, this might be a prediction of what the road will look like underwater. 😉
Boy, tell me about it Emily! Here’s to the rain stopping sometime this year. 😀
Thanks David! I guess your wish was granted. What a beautiful sunny day today. Please wish for more of the same. 😉
I failed…today is back to normal eh? 😦
Interesting shot David, they look like road markers pointing to a sunken… something! 😉
Leads to that mystical “X” marking the spot eh?
I like it, the closer reflector shows the hard lines while the one further away gives way to the softness that the water causes, nice.
It’s always intrigued me how there are so many things people see day in, day out that are just missed. Mind you, this is no piece of art but, to me, it’s interesting!
Interesting shot. The part that catches my attention is the squiggly shadow/reflection near the top reflector.
It’s always interested me how reflections in water turns out, sometimes you just never know how it’ll look! Thank you for the comments.
