Thought I would change it up a tad and take a photo of flowers. It’s been so…blah here lately. Rain, clouds, wind, snow, ice, blah blah blah, let’s take a photo of something pleasing!
I originally thought of submitting this photo into today’s The Daily Shoot’s assignment which is “Use or illustrate the Golden Ratio in a photograph today.” Now, although the photo’s composed okay, I don’t think it really captures the Golden Ratio as there really should be some form of trailing off (of something) in the upper right corner of the image…or, that’s my thought! 😛

It is nice to see fresh flowers now. What I really like about this is the black background–makes the flowers pop out.

Lovely lighting and I think the black background make the details on the floral arrangement standout.
Thanx for the comments Sasi! Used my speedlite on this set to 1/32 power. Shot through an umbrella above camera (and slightly to camera right).
