Today’s The Daily Shoot’s Assignment is: “Go for an unusual point of view and make a photograph that can only be made from that viewpoint.”
I don’t know if I captured the assignment as well as I would have liked but, I do think the PoV for this shot is rather fitting. I did learn that choosing the correct ornament for these shots is critical! By the time I was half way through, I thought perhaps a better choice would have been wise as the dull finish on this little dude makes it look a little grainy (perhaps out of focus too). Meh, it’s just the start of the season and I know I will be taking more ornament shots! Enjoy…

Lovely colors and the OOF background is making the ball stand out
I like this a lot. Very warm and evocative. The DoF is lovely and the gold top of the ornament adds an elegant touch.
Thank you all for the lovely comments, I am looking forward to taking more seasonal shots! 😀
(Sasi, you are more than welcome to borrow the idea!!)
This picture is breathtaking. Love the warm, festive feeling, and the colour, lighting and dof are superb.
The first Christmas photo and a very nice one
