Today’s The Daily Shoot assignment: “Make a beautiful photograph of something commonly thought of as ugly.”
You ever have those moments when you are out photographing things and you happen to pass something and take a single shot as you are on a time crunch and just can’t hang around? Well, that’s this shot! My day was super busy and didn’t really have time to hang about and take a zillion (hahaha, okay, not really a zillion) shots of this little guy, but it turned out okay.

Beautiful! I will echo the others and just say the color, the detail and depth of field are all wonderful.
Thanx! I love the shots you find after you get home (dang the camera’s little LCD)! I was really glad this one turned out. 🙂
Really nicely done. As said by others, the green is fantastic and the clarity of the web is excellent.
Thank you Nigel. I am glad I happened to see the little fellow!
Nice shot! Like the composition and dof. Funny I actually had the same subject in mind this morning for the daily shoot and then I saw the snail below the web… 🙂
Thank you Emily! Your snails look absolutely amazing, I need to set some time to fully appreciate your site! 😀
Nice shot of spider/web. I like the shallow DOF and greens (dominating and almost monochrome) in this shot.
Thank you, gotta love the last moment finds eh?
I almost walked into a gnarly spider wed and ferocious little eight legged monster myself this afternoon on my photo “drive” home. Love the shades of green in this shot!
Thank you Jolene. 😀
