This was taken yesterday at our Thanksgiving dinner. Normally, we are a pretty laid back group…aka…we don’t really “dress” up for family functions (I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt)! Dev, however, wanted to get a little more dressed than normal (perhaps to out-do his parents) and this is outcome. Hope everyone in the States had a great Thanksgiving and here’s to a great weekend!
…Enjoy!

Wow, he is growing up fast.
Yea, he sure is. We were just talking about when he will surpass me in height, I give him till the end of this coming summer! 😀
Oops – you just challenged him. Probably come Easter and it will be done… My older son is way taller than me (I have got used to it) and my youngest is going to be the same or taller though for years that did not seem likely, and my daughter is the same height, and I am not short. Maybe Cait will be taller than you too, in 2 or 3 years.
I love the rim lighting in the first shot, the way the light is falling on his face, and the angle of his body. I’m a bit distracted by the white patches in the second one.
I absolutely see what you are saying about the second shot, that white patch just to the right of him is distracting! I really like the first image, hope he does too! Thank you for the great comment Carissa, always appreciated!
I was taking a photography class and the instructor noted that the eye is always drawn to the brightest spot in the picture, so one has to be careful to use it to one’s advantage.
He’s such a handsome boy, David. And his hair is freaking awesome! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well!
Thanx Bonnie, I am sure he totally agrees with ya about his hair (okay, I really dig it too)! 😀
